ContextThe agreement and my remit
Fanatics and FIFA had an agreement and a programming concept before I joined. As FIFA Relationship & Soccer Program Lead for Fanatics, I managed the relationship and translated the partners’ requirements into plans for programming and delivery.
My remit covered the World Cup Final media day, a public fan moment, and watch-party planning. Decisions about team availability and timing affected several parts of the program at once.
PlanningWhat I developed
01Press-conference and fan programming
I planned the sequence around the official press conferences and public moment, including handoffs, media movement, and team routes. The show’s executive producer and specialist teams used that sequence to develop their plans.
02Options for team participation
I prepared invitation materials and options ranging from a live feed to a joint public panel. Each option accounted for timing and team availability so decisions could be made without starting the planning again.
03Partner responsibilities and watch-party concept
I defined how costs would be divided between the partners. I also developed the watch-party concept, considering why fans would attend, how they would watch, and what the partnership needed to provide.
Connecting the plansManaging a venue change
When the public moment moved to another venue within the event, I created a tracker to identify which routes, materials, plans, and decisions needed updating.
I was responsible for the partner relationship and integrated planning. The executive producer and production teams produced and called the show.
ReflectionPlanning to react
The alternatives mattered because not every decision could be settled early. Preparing them meant the team could adapt the plan when answers arrived, with a clearer understanding of the consequences.
